The project for Figa Negra Tattoo Studio in Lalín transforms an existing commercial premises into a tattoo studio tailored to the needs of the business. Its functional layout combines customer-facing areas, design and tattooing spaces, and areas reserved exclusively for staff.

The refurbishment makes use of the premises’ existing fit-out, focusing on reorganising the spaces and improving their performance while retaining many of the existing elements. The former fitting-room partitions are removed and replaced with new lightweight divisions to organise the different working areas.

The entrance area features a reception desk that also serves as a waiting point. The design area includes an office space, while the tattooing area is equipped with a hand-wash basin and finishes that facilitate cleaning and surface maintenance.

The project also includes a separate space for storing, cleaning and sterilising equipment, fitted with a sink and ceramic wall tiling in the washing area. The existing flooring is retained in staff-only areas, while new vinyl flooring is installed in the spaces used by clients.

The refurbishment is completed with the repainting of the interior, adaptations to the electrical installations, and the introduction of furniture and lightweight elements that separate the different areas without the need for permanent partitions. The result is an organised, practical tattoo studio tailored to the specific requirements of the business.
